Natural Dyeing Workshop

We have a fabulous new two day natural dyeing workshop

Day One

A technical & informative day. You learn how to tie the skeins of wool and mordant them in preparation for the dyeing tomorrow. We will use a variety of mordants. You will be learning about how to prepare the dyes as well as how to record recipes for future use.

Day Two

A fabulous colour filled day that will inspire and enthuse you to the marvellous & unique range of colours available within the natural dyeing process. A range of wool skeins and fabric, that you will have prepared yesterday, will be dyed in a variety of colours. These can then be used to knit or crochet with, or alternatively in mixed media textiles.

This is a comprehensive workshop designed to give you the confidence and passion that we have for natural dyeing. You will learn everything you need to know so that you will be able to continue dyeing at home.

The full two day course costs £ £140 (£20 reduction if bring own materials)/person

 This price includes all materials, tea, coffee, biscuits and cake.

 A 50% deposit  of £70/person is required as confirmation of booking

Cheques (made payable to Kirsty Hopkins) and cash accepted.

 Day one starts at 10:30 & finishes approximately at  3:30pm

 Day two starts at 10:30 & finishes approximately at 4pm

 There will never be more than four people on a course due to our firm belief in the benefits of small teaching groups.
